What is UGC-NET?
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges.

What is NTA?
From December 2018 onwards, the UGC- NET is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).NTA is an agency tasked by Government of India to conduct specialised test.

What is difference between JRF and Assistant Professor eligibility?
Awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/ or Eligibility for Assistant Professorship depends on the aggregate performance of the candidate in Paper-I and Paper-II of UGC-NET. The candidates qualifying only for Assistant Professorship are not to be considered for the awarding of JRF. Age limit for JRF presently is 30 years. There is no age limit for Assistant Professorship.

How recruitment of Assistant Professorship decided by various Universities/Colleges?
Candidates who qualify the eligibility test for Assistant Professorship are governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of Assistant Professor of the concerned universities/colleges/state governments, as the case may be.

How many times UGC-NET examination is conducted per annum?
UGC-NET examination is normally conducted twice per year, in June and December. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the normal schedule is disturbed.

What is the mode of Examination?
Mode of Examination: The Examination shall be conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT) only.

What is the Pattern of Examination?
Pattern: The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions.

Candidates applying for Humanities, Computer Science, Electronic Science, Management, etc subjects can appear.

What is the Eligibility criteria for Qualifying exams?
General/Unreserved/General-EWS candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master鈥檚 Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC. The Other Backward Classes (OBC) belonging to Non-Creamy Layer/Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Persons with Disability (PwD)/Transgender category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks in Master鈥檚 degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

My subject does not appear in the list of subjects published by NTA. Can I appear in relevant subject?
Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their Post Graduation only. The candidates, whose Post Graduation subject is not covered in the list of NET subjects, may appear in a related subject.

What is the fees structure of the tutorials?
We do have separate fees structure for Paper I and Paper II We provide combo package with 15% rebate on total fees.

What is the validity of the tutorial course.?
For Paper I, we provide tutorial for 1 year (2 examination). However, for Paper II, fees shall be payable for the candidates desirous of taking live classes in the next session.
